The test gallery
A full real wedding day shot by Bud Johnson (getting ready through reception), with the couple's permission. Planned: ~[N] RAW files, [camera bodies], mixed light including a dark reception. [Placeholder — filled in after the shoot.]
The baseline
Bud hand-culls and edits the gallery first, as he would for a client. That human set of keepers is the answer key.
What we measure
- Time: import to finished cull, and cull to finished edit (stopwatch, same computer).
- Keeper agreement: % of the AI's picks that match Bud's keepers, and the "must-have" moments it missed.
- Edit acceptance: % of AI-edited frames that needed no further adjustment.
- Hard cases: closed eyes in groups, backlit ceremony, dance floor flash, mixed-color light.
- Real cost: price for this gallery and for a 30-wedding year.
Fairness rules
- Latest public version, default settings first, then tuned settings, both reported.
- Trial or paid accounts only — no special vendor builds.
- Partner programs never affect scores or order.
- Every result dated; re-tested when major versions ship.
